Royal Greenland welcomes new CEO
December 1 marks the first working day for Royal Greenland’s new CEO, Toke Binzer.
Today, Royal Greenland is pleased to welcome Toke Binzer as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer.
"Royal Greenland is Greenland’s largest and most influential company. If things go well for Royal Greenland, they go well for Greenland—and vice versa. That’s a huge responsibility, because it depends on us as a company to secure a significant part of the country’s economy. I look forward to taking on that task and responsibility together with the rest of the employees—both in Greenland and globally", said the newly appointed CEO.
Toke is already a familiar face in Greenland’s business community and brings with him a deep understanding of Greenlandic society and the important role Royal Greenland plays in it. In addition, he has held leadership positions in international companies such as IBM and TDC.
According to Royal Greenland’s Chairman of the Board, Niels Thomsen, this combination of international experience and local insight makes him well suited to lead Royal Greenland as both a global market leader and a key contributor to Greenlandic society:
“Toke has worked at the intersection of strategy, operations and people – experience that will be valuable in Royal Greenland’s continued development. He has a strong sense of the bigger picture and of the people who make it all work. That’s essential in a company like ours, where we operate across a wide geographic and cultural landscape.”
In the coming months, Toke will visit Royal Greenland’s locations around the world to meet employees and gain first-hand insights into the company’s global operations.
