Saithe is caught in the ice-cold and clean waters of the North Atlantic, where it slowly develops its mild and slightly sweet taste with plenty of umami. It has off-white to pink meat with a firm and juicy texture that turns a beautiful snow-white with nice, big flakes when cooked. Saithe has a naturally high content of protein and iodine.

These portions with onions bring a taste of Norwegian tradition directly into your kitchen. The portions are traditionally served with potatoes and a salad, which makes for a well-balanced and nutritious meal.

 

Ingredients

Saithe (Fish) (Pollachius virens) 73%. Fried onion (18,5%): onion, veg. oil (rapeseed oil, shea, coconut), sugar, salt. Breading (8%): Flour (Wheat), rapeseed oil, potato starch, salt, raising agents (E450, E500), spice, mustard (Mustard), dextrose, stabilizer (E464).

Cooking instructions

Defrost onion and put small portion on the frozen saithe. Oven: 9-10 minutes at 200°C in a pre-heated oven.
