Frozen Fish are Healthy!
A new study carried out by Knowledge Centre for Food and Health in Denmark, Vifoss, has shown that frozen fish are just as healthy as fresh fish.
The Head of Vifoss, Gitte Gross, says about the results of the study: "It is better to eat frozen fish than no fish at all – and freezing is a great way of preserving fish. All Vitamins are maintained.
Gitte Gross recommends mixing fatty fish – such as salmon and Greenland halibut – with lean ones – for example cod and plaice. Even though the lean fish do not contain very much og the healthy Omega-3 fatty acids, they still contain a lot of iodine, selenium and good quality protein.
