Flexibility and central location in Poland
Royal Greenland’s newest production site is located in Koszalin in Poland.
The site is close to the raw material supply from the Baltic Sea and it is also central for distribution in both Eastern and Western Europe. Production at the site began in early 2008. The site has the newest equipment and is furthermore flexible in the sense that it is able to handle small volumes and labour intensive products while remaining cost effective.
Raw material
The production site utilises raw material both from our own fishery in Greenland such as cod and Greenland halibut and fish sourced from the international market, for example plaice from Denmark, flounder from the Baltic Sea and salmon from Norway.
Products
Our production site in Koszalin produces a wide variety of different products adapted to the specific needs of each customer. The most famous product is our salmon tournedos which won the 2008 Seafood Prix d’Elite. The production also includes products such as natural fillets and portions, breaded flat fish, fish in puff pastry and stuffed fish.
